3rd Anniversary of Blockade

On Friday, June 5, 2020, Qatar will mark the 3rd-anniversary of the blockade.

In line with the upcoming anniversary of the blockade, Qatar Museums (QM) and the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) have invited members of the public to share images and videos highlighting their perspective of the blockade. All citizens and residents of Qatar are welcome to contribute.

QM curators will review the submissions from the public and the chosen entries will be displayed as part of live installations across the country on the evening of June 5.

The façade of the National Museum of Qatar and the arches at the 5/6 Interchange on the Lusail Expressway will light up with video and image submissions from the public.

For all individuals who would like to showcase their perspective about the blockade, QM encourages the entries are sent before June 1, 2020.

Works received after June 1 will be added to NMoQ’s growing digital archive.

In addition to images and videos, individuals can also submit audio and text materials. These will be added to NMoQ’s digital archive as well.
