Hello Everyone,

How it is for living -being a complete vegetarian, religious level, level of freedom to practice religion and day-to-day life, culture etc. Medicial facilities etc. any challenges normally that could be faced.

Your early response would be highly appreciated.

Thanks.

Sikh: No problems as long as you dont carry weapons (kirpan) or chant in public (kirtan). That said, whatever you do within your own private home does not concern the authorities (as long as you are not being a 'social nuisance' and some one complains about you).

Veg: Lots and lots of options ... there are many vegetarians here in Qatar who will vouch for a whole range of hotels that are pure veg.

Qatar is a very tolerant Islamic society so dont be worried about being singled out for being Sikh. As long as you obey the law, you are doing OK.

Qatar is beautiful place and respect all religions. No one will stop you what you do inside of your house as your daily religious rituals. But definately you can not promote sikhism in public or also will not find any Gurudwara or Temple here.

Vegitarian options are limited but still enough for week end dinnings.Lot of Indian schools and ofcourse Punjabis around (me and my family one of them...).So no issues, come and experience a peace full life with us. Inbox me if you need more help....SSA
