Shopping for abayas in Qatar can get pretty expensive as there are several abaya boutiques and designer wear stores that offer these apparel at a premium cost. If you have a love for abayas and love to shop for them in multiple designs and fabrics, there are many affordable options available too. Check out the list of places that sell affordable abayas and start making your own collection!

Here's where you can buy inexpensive, modern, and chic abayas and hijabs in Qatar:

Souq Waqif

When it comes to traditional Arabic clothing, the souqs very obviously come to mind. Souq Waqif is a center for many shopaholics and you can find a lane full of myriad shops that sell traditional abayas, kaftans, jalabiyas and other modest clothing. The prices are nothing too outrageous and you can definitely chat up the shopkeepers and haggle over the price.

Location: Central Doha

Timings: 8 am to 12.30 pm

3—10 pm (depends on each shop but these are the general timings you might catch them open)

 

Souq Al Faleh

Souq Al Faleh is another good hub for traditional yet affordable Arabic wear. The little by-lanes of the Souq complex house multiple abaya shops and boutiques that offer readymade abayas and even offer custom stitching of abayas as per your fabric and design preference. From abayas as low as QAR 50, the prices can go up to QAR 250 and more for a customized abaya. Make sure to visit the shops at a non-busy time so the shopkeepers are more willing to bargain with you.

Location: Near Souq Waqif, beside FANAR mosque

Timings: 8 am to 1 pm

4—10 pm

Wathnan Mall

 Wathnan Mall is another mall in Qatar that you shouldn’t miss visiting. The family mall is exceptionally well-planned and has multiple shopping options for abayas. In fact, it has a whole floor dedicated to shops selling Arabian clothing and artisanal products. The abayas are reasonably priced and won’t burn a hole in your pocket. The designs are also trendy and chic and worth checking out.

Location: Muaither

Timings: 5 am to 1 am

Closed on Fridays 

Safari Mall

Safari Mall is another place that is extremely popular among the Asian community and has a decent range of abayas inside the hypermarket. Additionally, the mall complex has a few abaya kiosks and smaller shops that also display budget-friendly abayas under QAR 200 or less. They also keep running discounts so it is an option worth checking out.

Location: Abu Hamour

Timings: 8.30 am to midnight

 

Ansar Gallery

Ansar Gallery is home to a multitude of products ranging from home décor, fashion, apparel, accessories, and so much more. They also have a decent range of budget-friendly abayas that can be bought from anything between QAR 100-250. You can even buy matching sheilas for your abayas as Ansar Gallery displays them in a multitude of colors, fabrics, and patterns. 

Location: Multiple locations – Mansoura, City Center Mall, Airport Street, Barwa, New Al Rayyan, Al Khor Mall.

Timings: Open up to 11 am (opening times differ from branch to branch)

 

Dragon Mart

Dragon Mart is a mall that caters to all your needs with multiple outlets under one roof. There are a couple of shops that sell affordable, trendy abayas in the latest fabrics and style cuts. You can even choose from several cloth options and have an abayas customized at a nominal charge.

Location: Barwa Commercial Avenue, Mesaimeer

Timings: 10 am to 10 pm

There are a row of shops almost adjacent to each other on Shahrah Umm Dhoom in Muaither where one can find abayaas in great variety and sizes. The also have them tailored to size.
