Qatar Tourism announces upcoming Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition at annual Ghabga
The Annual Tourism Industry Ramadan Ghabga hosted by Qatar Tourism (QT) welcomed guests and partners to mingle with media representatives and QT staff. A highlight of last year's success was showcased by QT officials as the industry welcomed and announced the first few in-person events and festivals.
Following the first Eid Festival, QT announced that the 18th edition of the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition (DJWE) will be taking place from 9-14 May, where the audience will see over 65 exhibitors, including international brands, as well as exclusive pavilions from India and Turkey. Taking place at the Doha Exhibition and Conference Centre (DECC), acclaimed Bollywood celebrity Alia Bhatt has been announced as the face of the global campaign for this year.
DJWE is recognized as one of the most anticipated luxury exhibitions in the world with unique jewellery and watches, featuring exhibitors from all over the world, with some of the most exclusive pieces featured by international brands. In addition, a series of workshops will be held by jewellery and watch experts, making this one of the unique points of the exhibition.

May 9: 3 pm - 10 pm
Monday to Thursday: 12 pm -10 pm
Friday: 4 pm – 10 pm
Speaking to the guests, Chairman of Qatar Tourism and Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, expressed his gratitude and celebrated the success for coming out of a challenging period. Giving credit to the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), Mr. Al Baker announced the successful return of all tourism activity in time to host the most-awaited FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™
"We are thrilled to offer an exciting line-up of events for residents and visitors to enjoy. Among these, is the first-ever Eid Festival taking place along Doha Corniche from 2 nd to 4 th day of Eid with lots of fun offerings for the whole family. Following this, we will have the 18 th Edition of our ever-popular Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition (DJWE) from May 9-14”, he said.
Qatar Tourism is actively working to produce and delvier high quality events, products, and services for local, regional and international visitors all year round. Programs such as 'Qatar Clean' and 'Service Excellence' have aided in making this experience seamless for tourists across all touchpoints.
In addition, this year, QNB, the largest financial institution in the Middle East and Africa, announced its sponsorship of the 2022 Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition (DJWE), organized by Qatar Tourism (QT) and taking place at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center from 9 -13 May 2022.
