Bon Appetit!!

Its interesting to see a proper American restaurant in Singapore. And so I went there for breakfast! with a pal. Now, the menu was absolutely amazing, with colourful descriptions of food and such. After careful perusal, I had decided on their chef recommends' special, roast turkey and bacon sandwich. My 'friend' was still undecided. I called the waitress anyway, because I was hungry, and to buy time till my friend was ready to order, well I'll just write it like it happened..

me: Hmm.. I think I'll have... a roast turkey and bacon sandwich, with juicy layers of tomatoes, poached eggs not too hard, fresh green crispy lettuce, freshly cut onions sautéd in vinegar, and sweet mayo in between.

waitress: anything else?

my friend was still buried in the menu deep in thought

me: errm... uh, yes, I'd also like a fresh steaming hot cup of aromatic coffee, with the beans crushed just enough so as to impart a delicious yet moderately strong flavour, with a dash of creamer, and three cubes of white refined sugar.

waitress: that it?

my friend was hopelessly lost and maybe drooling

me: uhmm.. yeah, for now. he'll order in five minutes

waitress: (turns around to face kitchen and yells): SMOKED PIG ON RYE JAVA WITH

me: (dreams and fantasies shattered and shell shocked)

my friend: what the hell did you order?
