Effect of your drink on AirPlanes...

I dont think this is possible even in the accidents. But seriously i think drinks should not be allowed while travelling in Airplanes, What you say ?

and had an aisle seat. The obese guy next to him proceeded to get smashed. He got up 9 times!!!! to use the bathroom, waking my husband up each time and even falling over in the aisle one time. Not to mention he was loud and obnoxious. Glad for once that they were unable to find seats for our family all together. I was blissfully unaware of the whole thing.

Qatar airways can never become dry.. Come on, they even own QDC.. So very unlikely that they would be wet on land and dry up in the sky..

Free Champagne in economy? No wonder Qatar Airways has become so expensive!!

By GodFather.• 14 Jan 2013 12:44
GodFather.

fubar they were even serving it in Economy last night, not as welcome drink but a drink with the snack on the London Route!

By fubar• 14 Jan 2013 12:37

Wouldn't Qatar Airways lose their 5 star ranking if they stopped serving champagne in business class?

Maybe they value their 5 star ranking over the region's culture?

Normally the smell comes from the back of the plane, need to keep those curtains shut tight.

If QA went dry, then mass defections to Emirates and then what will they do with that nice new airport due to open in 2025?

By GodFather.• 14 Jan 2013 12:26
GodFather.

Came back on the 787 Dreamliner last night from London.

The plane is hi-tech compared to some of their older models, but was shocked to find out that they had withdrawn the Chilean Red Wine, Now we just have the French! Disgrace!

Strange, the people who I've seen behaving the worst on planes (being demanding to cabin crew, sitting in the wrong seats, walking around the cabin when the fasten seat belt sign is on, boarding late and keeping everyone waiting, incessantly pressing the crew call button to ask for blankets, pillows, water, tea, coffee, mints, tissues etc) haven't been drunk.

Well a drunk will be annoying for co-passengers the stewardesses. Drunk treats flight crew as servants.Cant you people hold back for the duration of a flight ?

For me it is a big NO.

By anonymous• 14 Jan 2013 11:46

It is the only think that makes flying bearable from the gulf, considering the number of smelly people on planes.

I second mimi, they need more of a selection of drinks and less of the crap food.

I flew British Caledonian once. (Before Baburao was born). drink was flowing. The guy in the seat next to me had a few snifters and fell asleep.

When we landed he was woken by the stewardess. He stood up in a daze , looked a little lost and threw up over the poor woman.

we all made a hasty exit :O(

Children should be banned from flying as they make too much noise, do i complain ... no, why? because i have been rasied to tolerate situations in a democratic country/society

By Rich• 14 Jan 2013 11:35

dont have control of their minds when they are sober! what do you want me to do about it. I reach Gold member within the first 3 months of the year and as Miss Mimi stated i have yet to see it. I have however witnessed the terminally useless trying to check in with 2 50 inch plasma screens pots pans blankets for a weekend in Dubai and wonder why they get refused

By NimbuPani• 14 Jan 2013 11:35

Dint knew this that the might be drunk before the being on the flight. But i have seen ppl with annoying behaviour which makes others uncomfortable, espicially wen you travel wid family.

By Miss Mimi• 14 Jan 2013 11:32
Miss Mimi

I've flown hundreds of times and I've never seen anyone behave inappropriately because they were drunk on a flight. I know it does happen, but it's rare. Not a reason to ban alcohol on a flight.

Anyway, the flight attendants never give you enough on a flight to get drunk, so if someone's drunk they got drunk before the flight.

By NimbuPani• 14 Jan 2013 11:30
NimbuPani

Some ppl dont have control on thier mind once they are drunk, which irritates the other travellers.

a drink on a plane, whats it bloody got to do with you! This world is full of preachers. If you dont like it dont fly if it offends you that much

By Miss Mimi• 14 Jan 2013 11:22
Miss Mimi

I say their should be a wider variety of drinks on airplanes. Do you know Qatar airways doesn't even have rum! And only one kind of beer! It's barbaric!
