Luckily UkEngQatar is well off and prefers his spouse to be a "homemaker" , so he can come home to a warm smile and a hot dinner :o)
Depends on individuals. It is more of a misnomer and a easy way out for the girls today. My GF insists to cook every meal, whenever we eat at home, even if she has a professional life as busier as me. I am not a bad cook either, but still. It takes lot of convincing at times to let me atleast help her in kitchen when I see that she is really TIRED, but hardly 1 out of 100 times do I actually succeed. BTW we individually earn more than enough to make the other sit at home with no compromises either on outings, travels, expenses, etc etc. (touch wood).
UKENG - she went to work. Gone are the days when the man earned enough money to keep home and hearth together. Maybe for the priviledge few here but for those that want to save for good education for children and a comfortable retirement a lot of families need the double income -hence splitting the household tasks - simples
It is indeed changing UKEngQatar.. in some of the families back home, brothers dress like their mother and sisters dress like their father.... ;)
The times are changing now the Man cooks and the woman drinks..:) what ever happened to the lovely Housewife?
iam back and tried both cooking and drinking together...mixed some drinks in cooking too...it tastes yummy...waiting for the weekend to hit Dubai!!! there is the eagles concert happening there...anyone going for it?
