DUBAI - A housewife has saved her husband from the clutches of a wolf in rural Saudi Arabia, local daily Arab News reported on Saturday.

The woman went out to look for her husband after he did not return from tending their goats to find him being attacked by the wolf, according to the newspaper.

The woman ran back to their house and returned with a kitchen knife and stabbed the animal to death, Arab News reported.

The husband, in his 70s, had been fending off the wolf for more than an hour before his wife turned up, according to the newspaper. The report did not give wife's age.

The family have hung the wolf’s body from a tree in front of the house to scare off other wolves, a custom in rural areas, Arab News reported.

edifis: LMAO! Turn that into a movie (based on a true story) and you might have a classic blockbuster. (hang the wolfs carcass in the theater for 3D effects)

About time the wolves approach the court for justice against the woman who exposed herself indecently to the male wolf. Isn't that guilty on 2 counts? 1. Indecent Exposure 2. Zoophilia (beastiality)

I am sure those who r criticizing the saudi ppl...and making fun of em....they have no idea of what they are talking about...and neither they will have idea..that is because either they r racist or they dont understand the motive behind saudi women covering all their bodies in front of strangers...i am gonna give u one simple example and u guys think about it:

Imagined u found or som1 gave u two pieces of candy one is wrapped and the other one is not...which one will u pick...??? ..same thing goes with women....this is simple logic...and only retards don't accept logic...

Respct the others culture and morals if you don't have yours. This is something related to religion which you are making fun of. If you are so much offended with Islamic values then what you are doing here? remember you are getting your livelihood from a Muslim country which your very own country was unable to give or you were not qualified enough to get.

There is one serious topic going on about life and death, sincerity and bravery but i think you people are unawere of these words. So read the Mulim history for that.

Let me tell you that what you all are saying about Saudis is not based on facts but is just the propaganda.

hi guys really and not a joke how did that woman approach the wolf? didn't he notice that she is human or what? plus lot of mystery around this story, maybe her husband was sick or fell, and the wolf thought that there is a race toward the poor man's body, and that woman with shadow had been thought that she is a wolf or what...

am amazed if the story is true there is lot of questions to be asked.....

mmmmm and for those who is critisizing suadi people just show respect to them and prey to god that one day they become civilized, i heard and got confirmed information that in some areas a man cant see his wife's face ,,,,, even if he have 10 chidren from her.... and ones someone triedto sneak looking his wife ask divorce that was in the newspaper, and that really made me feel upset... and i felt petty toward that man, and the poor minded people, i ask god to transfer them for the best in world...with best wishes for the other wolves.

You are absolutely right, "We see the straw in the eyes of others and we do not see the beam in ours"

"Dr. Arwa Bint Ali Al-Sayyid, Consultant Periodontist at the Armed Forces Hospital in Riyadh, has been awarded the King Abdul Aziz Medal First Class.

The royal order for the award has come in recognition of her research on kidney transplant patients which led to the discovery of the gene disorder that causes swollen gums."

The wolf was a bungling fool! As per the original plan the wolf was to come inside the house and lie down in the wifes bed with her spects and all. At the same time the wife would leave the house through the back door. When the husband comes home from grazing the shee he would think the the wolf is the old granny lying all wrapped up! Then the wolf would say come dear I can't see you well. When the old man came near his face the wolf was to gobble him up and then marry the wife who's waiting outside the door!

The women saw that it was not going as per plan....the worthless wolf didn't manage to eat up the husband in 1 hour...and on top of that the husband had the upper hand in the battle...so she ran out and killed the wolf before it spilled the beans!

he then beat his wife for leaving the house without his consent, just as a show of appreciation.
