"Saudi Arabia lifts ban on women riding bicycles. The new policy stipulates that women must be accompanied by a male guardian and ride "only for entertainment"

What's the funniest rule you've seen in a country :)?

Mast: Your very existence is an abomination of nature.

Humbles: I’m sure it won’t hurt half as much as chopping off the head like they do in Saudi Arabia.

There is no actual codified law that states woman can't drive" in Saudi Arabia, therefore no justification for preventing them from driving. End of story.

Mast you sound brainwashed. Hello... we live in 21st century. If you want to live in fear or instill fear in others.... do it... but the rest of the world moved on from the dark ages and most people would not trade their freedom including freedom of expression for anything or any threat.

Everyone knows that the rules in KSA can be bias... even people from KSA know it... so take a chill pill.

Totally agree with Miss Mini... even the law is flaud does not mean people how to put up with that.... laws should serve all members of society... not just those who happen to be in privilaged position - and that is particularly true when it comes to women's rights... Faireness and humans rightrs are rights.. not privilages.. and as a citizen people can demand it.

So if a country somewhere sets a law that all people with brown eyes must be killed, or all first born girls must be killed, or everyone must have one foot chopped off at birth, the rest of the world is supposed to just accept that?

By MarcoNandoz-01• 10 Apr 2013 07:51

Princess Lulu :Just wanna mention that, in K.S.A the rule has been set.

There's no law Prohibiting against women driving in Saudi Arabia.

By Princess Lulu• 10 Apr 2013 02:07

What Mast wrote, there's truth in it.

I do believe, every countries would like to set up their own rules n regulations. The law they made doesn't supposed to be the same like other countries hence all rulers looking from their own perspective. Some laws been made according to their own local customary or circumstances. As a country ruler they have rights to do that. I'm not saying they are right or wrong here. Just wanna mention that, in K.S.A the rule has been set..doesn't matter you agree or not. I also believe there are lot of weirder laws in other country. Don't ya think?

need to reciprocate the faith our elders place on us. Disciplined life is good in the long term for a healthy and safe society.

It is time to learn a new skill for the folks there and enjoy the privileges but with responsibility.

Anyways some of the the funniest rules I've heard in the recent past were those cropping up from the Aspire park staffers. Oh and in my daughter's school the little kids are banned from using perfume!!
