The Doha Comedy Festival, at the Qatar National Convention Centre, is right around the corner. Getting into the spirit of things, Qatar Living scoured the internet to find some of the funniest pictures and videos that were shot in Qatar.

So sit back, relax, and have a chuckle. Have you seen all of these?

1. Disobeying traffic rules, like a boss!

It’s nearing midnight, and you’re waiting patiently for the red light to turn green. Two kids, speeding in a shopping cart, get clicked by the traffic camera. Would you laugh, cry or shake your head in bewilderment? Check this out.

2. Batman’s secret hideout found in Qatar.

After the epic battle with Superman, overcome by guilt at having had to kill the son of Krypton, Batman goes into hiding. No one seems to know where he is, until now. He’s in Qatar.

3. Take your camel for a spin in Doha and also buy burgers!

So this was a stunt by Qatar-based comedian Hamad Al Ammari, but it was still funny as hell. Cue social media frenzy and people having a good laugh. Well played, sir!

4. Did you see the… *Gasp* Penguin at Doha Corniche?

It’s now almost five years since social media enthusiasts lost their minds over seeing a Penguin at the Doha Corniche. It was one of Qatar’s first-ever viral videos and it was a grand marketing trick.

So Qatar may be a small country, but its people take emails quite seriously. They are so good that zillions of emails are created every single day. To keep up with the email flow, Gmail has hired trucks to do the delivery for them.
