I think you are right Speed, they are not definitely Indian. But I can't say from which country they really are. What I know is, the Gays in India may never come in open like this and show their sexuality openly. It doesn't at all mean that there are no Gays in India. Only the thing is they always keep themselves a low profile as they are not accepted in the society. Also they are also not protected by the law. It's illegal to have unnatural sexual acts in India. Although govt rarely interferes in consensual adult homosexual acts.
Off late Gays in India are daring to 'come' out but again mostly from the very upper creamy layer or fashion and glamour industries.

Eunuchs in India is just a well planned begging business nothing else. I read a book about them, it was something data collection and analysis type book.

1. Eunuchs, as majority believe are not at all Eunuchs by birth. They born just as normal as you and me. I remember a Dr. saying in the book that he has not observed any baby born as an Eunuch. He was further saying if there are so many Eunuchs born in any society than it should be a matter of scientific studies. Those who sit on the lap and demand money are Enuches (spelling?) and they are beggars. This is a sure shot trick to get money. They even threaten you to show 'something' by lifting up their skirt or petticoat. (Mod: Please don't delete my comment as it is the naked truth) Never know what exactly they are trying to show but I know people used to get so terrified by their acts that nobody dares to take panga with them and let them go with some little money.

I had a female friend from India who during her masters had done a project on social marketing, which involved interacting with these people.
And to be honest she was really impressed by them,
She told me that they were really nice and fun to be with.
