Bruxism- Help

Dear QL readers,

My close relation seems to be having a sickness called Bruxism.

Could you let me know if any of you know about Bruxism and how to cure it. Is the cause of Bruxism stress..?

Let me know which Doctor I can consult with for this problem.

Consult any Orthodontists...they are specialists to treat the bruxism.

Stress can be one of the reasons. Reducing stress definitely helps.

Bruxism is generally attended by TMJ specialist, which are essentially dentists specialising in Temporomandibular Joints. I dont know whether we have any TMJ specialist in Qatar, but definitely some dentists can give a better insight and references.

Any dentist should be able to help. They can make up a plastic mouth guard that fits over the teeth so that grinding during sleep doesn't wear down the enamel.
