I'm also looking for some Eskrima lessons but I can't find anything. I just found some videos on youtube about an Eskrima chapter on Doha, I think they teach Doce pares. Did you find anythng?
well, it is a martial art. emphasis on the word 'art'. it's not streetfighting or your usual mindless brawl. it's like dancing. which is what it looks like in certain cases. studying it does not necessarily mean that you have to be violent in real life

there was a ql-er who was giving free arnis lessons a few years ago. we exchanged pm's but i never got to call him. he also had extra sticks you can use for the lessons. the problem was i don't have free space at home and he was mostly available late at night on weekdays. i also got busy with work. i'm not sure if he's still around.
i did try taking up arnis classes for one semester when i was in school. ended up with really painful blisters on my soft, beautiful hands in the first few classes. some of the skin peeled of they eventually turned into ugly calluses. but i love the sound they make when i hit the air with my arnis sticks. i've forgotten everything though but i would like to learn again.
it's a beautiful martial art and is more practical/efficient than some, although at times the moves can look deceptively crude and simple. everything you can get your hands on can be a weapon. it was heavily used in the bourne movies.
