how to read medical prescription (2X2X5)
By DukebluedeviL •
I gave a ride to my friend going to health center 21 this afternoon, and after 2.5 hrs waiting on the line He was finally examined by the doctor. He was given a prescription but didn't tell him how to take it. It's just said on the paper 2X2X5 and 1X2X5.. So anyone knows what does this means? Thanks!
okay thanks to you guys, i believe he ask the pharmacist about this and he didn't understand, lolz! great help! cheers!
Azilana is right... 2 tabs or capsules 2 times a day for five days
yeah, azilana is correct just follow what have been noted by azilana.
Your friend should have gone to the pharmacy/drugstore to get the medicine. The pharmacist will usually explain what it is as they take the prescription paper for their records.
Anyways, here is what I THINK it means:
2X2X5 - take 2x (2tabs/capsule/pills) 2x (twice a day) for 5x (5 days)
1X2X5 - take 1x (t1abs/capsule/pills) 2x (twice a day) for 5x (5 days)
