Char Koey Teow
Hi Guys,
Another weekend has come by, I tend to have a habit of reminiscing of what I had been doing the previous week, or the previous few weeks.
(If you are wondering why have a forum title as char koey teow (CKT)..then rest assured I shall come to it.)
Few weeks ago I had been in Melbourne, donned my graduation gear and proceeded to be honoured with the title of masters qualification, my time back home was just amazing, partly because I had deliberately spent 3 days and nights in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Those who know KL, know how brilliant Malaysia is, there people, culture, infrastructure and most importantly FOOD.
I grew up eating maggi noodles after school and later developed a taste for Asian noodles and then for the finer noodles (as I call it), when in uni I used to get my fair share of CKT...coming back to being in KL.
For 3 days and nights mojo1981 ate nothing and breathed nothing BUT CKT and its variations...i had been bragging on to my malay co workers at RG how I'm off to Malaysia and then things planned there(this normally is enough to make them go crazy and to get their minds of work).
Then there was that period where all things had to come to an end and I HAD to come back to Qatar, where my much love of CKT cannot be entertained, or if there maybe a restaurant making CKT it wouldn't be with they way I'm kind of used to it...so here I'm sitting in Al-Khor dreaming of my next trip via KL.
I do encourage many of you to visit KL these holidays and try their satays, murtabak, and yes CKT(but before google or bing these).
any ways im out.

Yes you are right, but I wont be graduating from Monash again, and the whole concept of attending my graduation ceremony with the entire family accompanying me was just priceless..and followed by jetting of back to home in Perth...those 2 weeks that I took off were just amazing.

There will be a night market tomorrow night (7.30 pm - 10.30 pm) in Malaysian Embassy, maybe you could find some foods that you miss..
You should have gone to a decent universitty, they would have mailed your degree to you
