Hey Guys, the audio bass on my car suddenly stopped working and now, everytime I play a music, either be via Aux or the Radio, there were no bass... Could anyone tell me whats wrong or do you know any shops who can fix this issue?
Thank you so much for your response! I'll try to find this shop and ask for Ranga. I hope he knows how to fix VW cars especially touareg. Anyway, thanks again! :)
No I think you're thinking of the airport road when you mention those landmarks; this is b- ring road...
On old airport road, going from toyota signal to crazy signal turn right at the crazy signal and capital police building; you'll see many car shops on the opposite side on your left as you drive; you'll have to make a u turn from the next signal which is sana signal. The shop itself is called al firdous and is immediately next door to a small car wash, left side door. Sorry, don't have a number for you and I'm out of the country myself; else could've got it while passing by. Just find the shops and ask for the guy. They all know each other so you'll find him easily inshallah. Best of luck.
Thanks for the info. Uhm the audio system is still the original, never changed it, and I have already tried changing and adjusting the bass level but I really have no success or whatsoever. I'm suspecting it could be a wiring issue? but I dont know, anyway where exactly is the location of shop? I mean is it near Quality Hypermarket? Opposite of Safari? near Teyseer Petrol Station? Thanks! :)
Is it the audio system that came with the car or is it an aftermarket setup you had installed yourself? It's difficult to say what's wrong just by reading the post; I'm guessing you have already checked the headunit settings and that the bass has not been reset to zero or off by mistake or due to disconnecting the battery; worst case scenario is that you have a blown subwoofer or its amplifier and best case is that it's just a blown fuse/plug/port at the headunit or the woofer; if it's the factory system, the woofer might be integrated under the rear deck/rack/shelf or even be a part of the speakers themselves.
As for a shop; there are many car accessory shops on the right side going from sana signal towards crazy signal but you need to look for two shops in particular; one is called al watan and the other al firdous i think; there's a car wash right in between these two shops; you need to ask for Ranga at one of those shops, he's from Sri Lanka and usually at firdous where he works; unlike some other very bad audio technicians on that road, he actually understands car electronics and wiring and won't make a mess of your car. He is honest and charges only what is fair but you can still tell him that his friend/customer with the black camry sent you there and so he has to help you both with the issue and with the price to fix it; he doesn't know my name but hopefully he'll remember the car since i go to him pretty regularly for various car related stuff; best of luck.
