Vehicle importation rules for Qatar?
By CarmeloLabadie •
I've recently relocated to Qatar and since I haven't sold my vehicles back in Canada, was thinking of importing one of them.
Is there legislation I can refer to defining the rules for importing a vehicle to Qatar?
if it makes a difference, I'm thinking of shipping my 2007 Toyota Tundra DC 4x4 here since fuel is so inexpensive here.
Hi,
Just importing my car to Qatar. it should be 5 yrs old car maximum. If it is antique car, there are more letters required.
Your post reveals several things about you.
First, you have walked into a job which is paying you a salary you could never dream of back home. As such, you have so much of extra money falling off your pockets, and you don't know what to do with it.
Second, it really makes me wonder how you managed to get the job you are currently employed at. I wonder as any educated person with a bit of sanity will never get such a "wild idea" up in his mind of importing a vehicle all the way from Canada "since fuel is inexpensive here". Ha! Ha! I Ha! Ha! ROFL! guess you don't have an inkling about the costs that would be involved.
Lastly, I wonder how a person with your level of thinking managed to get a job here in Qatar and that too at a salary that allows you to think about importing his car shipped all the way from Canada to Doha. This is becomes all the more true as you should be able to find the same or even better cars here in the local market. But then, I just realized that you are western passport holder.
And it may be wrong to classify westerners as being "STUPID".
