When the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes fight, cinema halls will tremble!
I got to see a special screening of Captain America: Civil War last night at the Novo Cinemas, thanks to Jaidah Motors and Chevrolet.
Almost 12 hours later, I’m still mentally living in the magical, dangerous world trudged by the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
So does the film live up to the gargantuan hype it has been creating for some time now? You bet it does.
First off, you haven’t seen so many superheroes together in one movie, even in the Avengers series. That’s saying something. And you know what’s better? They fight each other!
When members of Team Iron Man (Black Widow, Black Panther, War Machine, Vision and new entrant Spider Man) fight those from Team Captain America (Winter Soldier, Scarlet Witch, Hawk Eye, Ant Man and Falcon), it’s pure magic and mayhem on screen.
There are at least three major fight sequences and each one of them is going to take your breath away. It’s very well choreographed.
Another thing I love about the movie is that it’s the most intricate and plot-driven fare from Marvel Cinematic Universe in a long time. Every incident that happens in the movie ties up neatly with everything else.
Director brothers Joe and Anthony Russo have done a commendable job of keeping things taut throughout. There’re generous doses of fun sprinkled all over and each character gets his/her screen time to shine.
But the two central characters — Captain America and Iron Man — are the ones who take the heaviest hits. A few beloved characters, who we’ve come to love and adore, may never again return.
And one last piece of important advice… This is a Marvel movie. So please stay till the VERY END of the film. There are two extra scenes to be had and it happens after the end credits. Please sit through the rolling credits. It’ll be worth your time.
Verdict: Civil War didn’t become one of year’s most anticipated movies without a reason. Grab a ticket while you still can. 9.5 stars out of 10.

Can't wait to see Black Panther #teamIronMan
It's a movie Wild Turkey. Its just actors playing their parts. None of the actors really dies or even gets hurt and the audience escapes from reality for a couple of hours and no harm is done.
If people really died in movies, that would be different.
"And you know what’s better? They fight each other!" Since when is it good when people fight against each other? You should go to Syria if you like it so much!
Thanks for review. Sure, we will watch soon in cinema.
Yeah it's not great. Another over-hyped big money film. Bring back Police Academy I say 'Prrooocctteeeerrrrrrr!!!'
Let's hope it lives up to the hype and doesn't fizz out like the last Avengers movie which I felt was a big let down.
