Any sense in bringing a washer / dryer from the US?

So I'm getting a container allowance to move over and I don't have a tremendous amount of stuff to bring. Would it make any sense for me to bring a washer (probably not a dryer) from the US to avoid having to buy one locally? Has anyone looked into the electric connections and water connections, do they fit?

There is no sense at all. You may face voltage problems as Qatar is on 220V. Also, while leaving you will find it difficult selling it off.
