Relocation advice

Hi All, I've recently been offered a job in Doha, but before accepting I want to visit with my family to gett a feel for the place, and try to see if we will be happy living there. We currently have a very nice expat life in Singapore, so I don't want to move my family somewhere they'll feel isolated or not enjoy.

Does anyone know of any companies in Doha that specialise in relocation, we want to come over for the weekend and view some places to live, schools etc..... I've asked the company that I'll potentially be working for but they don't have a company they use.

Thanks!

I don't believe there exists something like a "re-location agent" as such in Qatar. It would be better you hire a taxi on all days of your stay here and visit residential areas and see the accommodations for yourself. There are many compounds which are managed by companies for example Al Fardan has several of them. You can get the information of such companies through Google.

I know I don't need an agent for a visa.... I need an agent to be able to view properties etc though. We want to visit different types of properties in different areas of Doha. I figured it would be easier to deal with a relocation agent, than multiple estate agents

You don't need the help of any company for this. You and your family will get a visa-on-arrival at Hamad International Airport if you are a national of Singapore and you can stay in Doha for a month. Just book a hotel in advance. Your travel agents in Singapore can help and advise you on this.
