Gaza ceasefire to begin on Sunday, 8.30am Gaza time, says Qatari spokesperson

Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesman has announced that the Gaza ceasefire will begin on Sunday, at 8.30am local time in Gaza, (9.30am Doha time).

“As coordinated by the parties to the agreement and the mediators, the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip will begin at 8:30am on Sunday, January 19, local time in Gaza. We advise the inhabitants to take precaution, exercise the utmost caution, and wait for directions from official sources,” Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majed Al Ansari wrote on social media platform X.
