HH The Amir to meet with Pakistani Prime Minister in Doha today
Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who is on an official two-day visit to Doha, will meet HH The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Thursday.
Sharif, who arrived in Doha after concluding a trip to Saudi Arabia, will lead Pakistan during delegation-level talks with leaders of the Qatari government. He is also expected to meet Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.
The Pakistani Prime Minister will also inaugurate the cultural exhibition ‘Manzar: Art and Architecture in Pakistan from 1940 to present.’ The exhibition will showcase Pakistan’s rich cultural and architectural heritage and underline deep people-to-people linkages between Pakistan and Qatar.
On Wednesday, Sharif had been welcomed at the airport by Qatar’s Minister of State HE Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Khulaifi, Pakistan’s ambassador to Qatar, and other diplomatic staff.
Federal ministers Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Mohammad Aurangzeb, Jam Kamal Khan, and Attaullah Tarar are also accompanying the premier during his visit.
“I look forward to a productive exchange of views with the Qatari leadership to further enhance our brotherly relations,” Sharif had wrote on Twitter, formerly known as Twitter, upon his arrival in the country.
