Civil defence personnel daringly rescues motorist from a submerged car
On a particularly rainy day, what is the worst thing that could possibly happen to you?
However bad things may be, you may not have had as bad an experience as this man had the other day.
This man, whose vehicle got stranded in an underpass for camels at Rawdat Al Rashid, was saved from drowning by civil defence officials. When the man is lifted to safety by a rescuer, one can faintly make out his SUV vehicle submerged completely underwater.
The civil defence team that reached the spot saw the man in distress. One of the officials was gently lowered using a crane and the operation was a success.
The video of the daring rescue went viral on social media sites. Ashghal tweeted that the underpass, designed only for camels, was located on Salwa Road, two kilometres north of exit 29 towards Abu Samrah.
Kudos to the officials for a very fast resuce.
OMG! where's the camel?
