Expat fined for abusing his neighbour

A Doha criminal court has fined an Egyptian expatriate QR1,000 for insulting and threatening his neighbour with a knife, local Arabic daily Arrayah reported.

The defendant was accused of knocking on the door of his neighbour, whom he never knew before, one afternoon and tried to attack him.

However, the other neighbours intervened and drove him away. At the time, the defendant insulted the victim and threatened him with a knife and warned him not to talk to his wife again or approach her.

In the police investigation, the defendant justified his action by claiming he was trying to keep the neighbour away from his wife.

He claimed that the neighbour used to try to find different excuses to talk to his wife and follow her at the entrance of the building and the staircase. [Gulf Times]

I think we've gone off topic here, but It is clerics like the above mentioned who bring dishonour to religion.

I don't know the context he made his remarks in, but they do seem a bit silly and prone to ridicule...

Rather talking about dowry & other stupid cultural traditions which are the main cause of Late, difficult & expensive marriages ...

a cleric based in Europe has issued a ban on women touching fruits and vegetables resembling the male se*ual organ to avoid "se*ual thoughts".

According to him, bananas and cucumbers "resemble the male organ" and therefore could arouse women or "make them think of se*." he added carrots and zucchini to the list of forbidden foods for women.

If women wish to eat these food items, a male relative should cut the items into small pieces and serve.
