Father Emir returns to Qatar after treatment of his leg injury
Qatar's former Emir has returned to the country following his treatment in Switzerland for breaking his leg while on holiday last month.
Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani was reportedly seen vacationing in Morocco with members of the royal family including the Emir of Qatar when he sustained the injury on December 26.
After learning of the Father Emir's return, several people took to social media to wish him a swift recovery. His sons, Sheikh Joaan and Sheikh Khalifa posted a message and photo on Instagram on his return.
Sheikh Hamad was welcomed by his sons, including the Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim, Sheikh Jassim and Sheikh Joaan.

Get well soon
Hayakumullah...get well soon.
All praise and thanks be to Allah
A good example by the Emir Sheikh Tamim and his brothers Sheikh Jassim and Sheikh Joaan and all other sons and daughters of the family of father Emir Sheikh Hamad. See, it is the children responsibility to take care of Parents when they age.
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And that you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of disrespect, nor shout at them but address them in terms of honour. And lower unto them the wing of submission and humility through mercy, and say: ‘My Lord! Bestow on them Your Mercy as they did bring me up when I was young’” [al-Israa’ 17:23]
Also Allah says in the Quran (interpretation of the meaning):
"And We have enjoined upon man [to care, to be dutiful and to be good] for his parents. His mother carried him, [increasing her] in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Allah and to your parents; to Allah is the [final] destination.” [31:14]
