Final round of Superbike World Championship set to begin in Doha on Thursday
If you are an ardent motorsports fan, then you cannot afford to miss the superbike action at the Lusail International Circuit which begins on Thursday.
Starting on Thursday, the exciting final round of the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship will take place under floodlights.
The traditional season closer is going to be an exciting affair under the perfect setting. The 5.6km-long circuit, filled with fast corners and overtaking hotspots, is set to send pulses soaring.
Jonathan Rea, who has already won the 2018 WorldSBK championship, will be looking to break the record for most number of wins in a season (17), which has stood since 1991.
He will also be keen to break his own points record in one season (556).
Gunning for runner-up spot in the championship chase will be Chaz Davies and Michael van der Mark.
One of the most highly anticipated battles of the year, the FIM Supersport World Championship is set to go down to the wire in Qatar as the title fight comes down to just two riders — Sandro Cortese and Jules Cluzel.
All fans will be able to enjoy and get a closer look at the riders and teams in the Paddock Show activities, organised by WorldSBK. These shows are scheduled during the weekends. The champions of the race will be crowned on Saturday at 9pm.
There will be giant screens mounted throughout the grandstand and paddock area that will feature live race commentary in order to make sure one doesn’t miss a single race update.
This year, spectators will also have the chance to win access to the Grid and the Pit Wall Canopy by simply purchasing their tickets and filling in a ballot found at the LCSC official merchandising tent.
Grandstand tickets will cost QR100 for three days with free Paddock entry (children below 11 years enter for free). This year, there is also the possibility to buy a one day ticket.
On-line tickets can be purchased at www.lcsc.qa and during the event at the ticket booths of the circuit.
