Four expats to serve prison sentence for theft
A Doha court has sentenced four Ethiopian men to two years in jail for robbery. They are to be deported after serving their sentences, the Doha Criminal Court ordered.
According to Gulf Times, the Arabic daily Arrayah reported on Friday that the men were found guilty of stealing QR110,000 from the car of another expatriate man.
According to the police, the victim received the money from his son to be transferred to another GCC country.
He kept the money in his car and parked near an exchange house in Souq Al Attiyah. He went inside the exchange to inquire about the formalities.
When he returned he found one of the glass windows of the car broken and the money missing. He reported the case to the police, who took fingerprints from the car.
All clues led to the four men, who admitted their crime. They said they had divided the money among themselves.
Great that the finger print scanning worked. Good to read that they got caught.
Massive issues when the UK tried to roll out 'residency cards' a few years back. Most law abiding citizens couldn't see the problem with it.
Normally we fight for money but not these four souls ............... they divided it without any quarrel ............ Mon, 29.02.2016, 08.50 hrs
