Fuel prices in the country will go up in the month of June, according to the latest announcement from Qatar Petroleum.
For the first time ever, all fuel in the country will cost QR2 per litre or more.
The price of Premium petrol has gone up by 10 dirhams per litre and will now cost QR2. It had been at its highest price in May (QR1.90).
Super petrol will not cost QR2.10 per litre, a hike of 10 dirhams from the previous month (QR2).
The price of diesel has not increased as much as petrol, with the hike at only 5 dirhams per litre. The new price for diesel in June will be QR2.05, up from QR2 a month earlier.
These prices are the steepest the country has ever seen.
