HH The Amir leads the way as the world congratulates Qatar on being Asian champs
When the going gets tough, the tough get going.
This could not have been any truer for Qatar, who progressed through the AFC Asian Cup in the UAE to eventually emerge as champions.
Having faced hardships in the UAE unlike any other team in the tournament, they let their game do the talking on the ground. And for that, the world is applauding them.
HH The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani congratulated the team wholeheartedly for their breathtaking performance in the UAE.

“Many congratulations to our National Team, and Qatar and it’s people on this historic occasion of winning AFC Asian Cup 2019. Many regards to our champions and the technical and administrative teams that have made this championship an Arab achievement, and for presenting an exciting football epic, and realising the dreams of millions of fans of Qatari football team throughout the larger Arab world,” he tweeted.
There were also a lot of other appreciative comments on Twitter. Here is a selection of them.
I know that they automatically qualify but this Qatar side would have qualified for the next World Cup with no dramas #AsianCup #JPNvQAT

Congrats Qatar. Too good all tournament. Some great goals, inc first two in the final, and only conceded once. Third goal was clear handball so a definite penalty. Intent can't be known so it's irrelevant. It wasn't blatant so yellow card was wrong. #JPNvQAT 1-3 #AsianCupFinal

They beat Japan 3-1. Its the only goal they have conceded in the whole tournament. A 608-minute shutout streak in the tournament. #AsianCupFinal #JPNvQAT
