HH the Amir makes inspection visit to Salwa Beach Resort
Qatar's focus on growing and promoting tourism has been highly impressive in recent years, particularly since the Gulf state began preparations to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Not only has the country introduced specific programs under this ambition, such as the Summer in Qatar program, but also worked diligently to build leisure and touristic attractions to delight local, regional, and international visitors.
An emerging and one of the largest of its kind in Qatar tourism facility is the Salwa Beach Resort.
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday made an inspection visit to the resort, which is located in the southwest of Qatar less than 100 kilometers from Doha.
The magnificent project spans over an area of 3.2 million square meters and includes a wide array of facilities including 115 villas and chalets, a 246-room five-star hotel, aquatic theme park, conference center, ballroom, spa, yacht club, and marina, diving center, and a shopping center.
During his visit, HH the Amir was briefed on the latest updates and stages of the project's development.

HH the Amir inspected the different facilities including the green areas of the resort.
He thanked the individuals in charge of the project for their efforts in constructing this tourist facility while instructing them to expedite its completion and opening to meet the marine tourism and leisure needs of the country and support the growth of the tourism sector.
