Kahramaa customers can now issue their own bills
Customers of Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) can now issue their consumption bills by taking photo of meter reading and submitting it on its newly launched application for smartphones.
The new application and other e-services on Kahramaa website were yesterday launched by Engineer Essa bin Hilal Al Kuwari, President, marking the first phase of its transformation into smart corporation.
“The launch of e-services on the website and the application on smartphones is part of a plan to transform all Kahramaa services into e-services by the end of 2014 and Kahramaa into a smart corporation in 2015,” Al Kuwari told a press conference.
“All human resources services are now smart,” he added.
The first phase of transforming Kahramaa into a smart corporation provides various e-services on smartphones.
They include bill view and payment, service tracking, meter reading, certificates and more. The application also includes sections for Tarsheed, news, suggestions and complaints.
The new website, which is more user-friendly and encourages user interaction, includes e-services such as electronic certificates, service tracking, tariff details, tenders, auctions, awards, a separate portal for the ongoing National Program for Conservation and Energy Efficiency, as well as Tarsheed’s children site.
“The launch of e-services represents phase one of transforming Kahramaa into a smart corporation,” said Engineering Ibrahim Al Emadi.
