Cyclists, joggers and any others who like to lead an active lifestyle should feel happy as the Losail International Circuit has opened its doors to encourage such people.

Under the new initiative, cyclists, runners and walkers, who want to practice or train inside the circuit, can do so until June totally free of cost, reported Gulf Times.

According to a message posted on its official website www.circuitlosail.com, residents can register for the ‘2017 training days’  and make use of the circuit between 4.45pm and 9.30pm.

There will be at least two ‘Ladies Training Days’ each month, until June 13. Only boys under nine years old will be allowed inside the track during these sessions.

The track saw its first women’s training day on January 10. It consisted of several coach-led sessions including cycling 101, Zumba with curves, and strength training with curves from 6pm to 8pm.

Bicycles and gears are also available at the venue, giving female visitors an option to leave their personal cycles at home.

Besides physical activities, Losail is also hosting yoga lessons, a mini boot camp, and a dedicated area for children.

While using the facility, cyclists are advised to use the track in an anti-clockwise direction, “cycling on the inside of the track, overtaking through the left.

Runners and walkers must move in a clockwise direction on the outside of the track, between the blue line and fence.

All cyclists, including small children, must wear a helmet and closed-toe shoes when using the track, and children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Visitors can cycle, walk, run or rollerblade as many laps around the track as they want during the scheduled time.

Losail also hosts karting activities at the karting and minimoto tracks from 5pm to 10pm (Thursday and Friday). It costs QR100 for every 15-minute session.
