Maid in prison for stealing employer's jewellery
A criminal court has sentenced a maid to one year in jail for stealing gold jewellery from her employer.
The court has also ordered that the maid be deported after serving the jail term.
The public prosecution accused the maid of stealing three rings, an earring and a chain from her employer, local Arabic daily Al Raya reported.
During investigation, the victim claimed that she lost some of her jewellery in the house and found them later inside the handbag of the accused, who was working with her as a maid.
She also saw the accused wearing the same items in pictures which she had posted on her Facebook wall. [The Peninsula]
