Man sentenced to 10 years in prison for drug dealing
Qatar has always been one of the safest and crime-free countries in the world. However, since recent times, the country has been seeing a bit of a stir in its crime rate.
Yesterday according to Gulf Times, the local Arabic daily Arrayah reported that a Doha criminal court has sentenced an Algerian man to 10 years in jail for peddling drugs.
He was also ordered to pay a fine of QR200,000 for illicit drug dealing.
The convict was caught while trying to sell a piece of hashish to an undercover police agent at Al Mansoura Area. During the investigation, the convict admitted that he had brought a piece of hashish from his home country for his personal use.
However, he cut it into two pieces of 25 and 32 grams and tried to sell one piece at QR2,000 when he was caught. The second piece was also found with him.
It was reported that the lab analysis indicated that he had consumed the drug.

Deleerious: It is a mind set. I've driven here for a few years never had any issues. Just use your mirrors and ears and you're fine. Always assume that someone will do something idiotic ..
It's a clean safe country. Me and my family love it here. If only the roads were a little safer!
