MoI issues pointers to football fans going to watch the Emir Cup final
Today evening, all roads will lead to the refurbished Khalifa International Stadium for the 2017 Emir’s Cup final between Al Sadd and Al Rayyan.
There is intense interest in the final, which features two of the most popular teams in the country, at the 2022 FIFA World Cup’s first finished stadium. Sure enough, thousands of people are expected to witness the final.
Keeping in mind the possibility of huge rush, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has come out with a set of instructions for fans intending to watch the match, reported Gulf Times.
Security personnel from different departments of MoI — Traffic, Al Fazaa, Stadium Security and Lekhwiya — will be present at the venue to help the public attend the spectacular event, according to Qatar Tribune.
If you’re one of the fans going to Khalifa Stadium today evening, keep in mind these instructions by the MoI.
* Do not crowd at the gates at the time of entry and exit.
* Co-operate with security personnel to ensure security and safety of all.
* To ensure the access of public to their seats, follow regulatory instructions shown on the signs inside the stadium.
* Sit in the allocated seats and not disturb others by standing in front of them. Do not sit in the corridors and obstruct the movement of the public through the paths and cause harassment.
* Do not bring any prohibited items to the stadium such as fireworks, sharp tools, glass bottles, metal bottles, water bottles, wood sticks, paper rolls and compressed gas horns, as well as all kinds of animals.
* Do not carry banners that contain offensive language, and do not wear clothes with pictures or phrases that undermine public modesty.
* Avoid getting on to the ground before, during and after the end of the sporting event.
* It is strictly forbidden to enter the stadium with weapons, plastic and glass bottles, helmets, strollers and solar umbrellas.
* Do not hesitate to ask for security help in the stadium, they are happy to serve you.
