New hospital in Industrial Area expected to ease rush at other centres
Low-income workers from the industrial area will have reasons to cheer as the new Hospital and Integrated Health Center will become operational soon.
Qatar Tribune reported that after three years of construction, the Private Engineering Office (PEO) handed over the new hospital to the Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC).
The HMC will soon start to equip the health facility and once open, it is expected to significantly reduce the pressure on existing hospitals in Doha.
The hospital, which is spread over 132,000 square metres, will have a basement as well as ground, first and second floors.
The hospital will initially have 118 beds and the numbers will go up to 210 once work on an adjacent building gets completed.
The project also includes a health centre and a facility offering Medical Commission services. The parking lot can accommodate around 710 vehicles, including 200 covered parking slots. Green spaces have also been created.
The hospital is expected to receive 30,000 visitors on a monthly basis. The emergency building will have 30 beds in it.
Two more hospitals will be commissioned soon — in Ras Laffan (first quarter of 2017) and in Mesaieed (second quarter of 2017).
Ya, ya, Definitely the rush will be divided ........ more comfort for the patients of the future ............
