In new initiative, private sector employees can get copy of job contract from website
In a new development, private sector employees in the country can now get a copy of their job contract online through the website for the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs.
With the launch of the new service, the Ministry is hoping that it would make the relation between employees and employers in the country more transparent, according to The Peninsula.
The online service is expected to significantly save time and effort for employees who earlier used to go in person to the labor department, or seek help of their company representatives, to get a copy of their job contract when they needed it.
The procedure for obtaining a copy of the job contract is simple and easy and is available both in Arabic and English.
Employees can access their contract at http://empcont.adlsa.gov.qa/ in both Arabic and English. You can switch between Arabic and English using the button on top of the webpage.
Those who need a copy of the job contract can access the link, enter the applicant’s personal number or visa number and the personal mobile number (which should be in his or her name).
A confirmation number will be sent to the mobile number. Enter the code you received on your mobile and it will allow you to see the contract or download it.
Upon testing, The Peninsula found the job contract copy to be scanned and entered in the system’s database. For some, there were no information available. This could be because the company has not updated the new contract or not submitted to the ministry yet.
Job contracts are used for many purposes including sending online notifications from employees to employers to quit their job or for a job change.

What if we don't have a phone number under our names but under our company name ?
