Police catch thief red-handed
Qatar CID arrested an Iranian visitor to the country who was stealing money from the vehicles of people visiting an exchange house in Doha.
The man, who was on a visit visa, used to hang around the exchange house looking out for customers who leave cash in their vehicles at the parking area. He would then break the front glass of the vehicle and steal the money.
The police was informed after theft cases became frequent. In a trap to catch the thief red-handed, an undercover police officer posing as a customer put a bag of cash in his vehicle.
The thief as usual broke into the car and started to flee with the cash, only to be surrounded by the police.
The man has been referred to Public Prosecution. During the investigation, he admitted to his crime. He is now under trial at the Doha criminal court. [Gulf Times]
@vk_afsal You have to think like a thief and expect the unexpected. Lesson learned.

Sorry 26 mar 2015...
That's why don't be to confident..never give a chance for thief or regret.
In a country like Qatar, It's not expected. More over I parked my car just for 10 mins in the parking. I went inside my house to take my stuffs. When I came back I saw my purse lying down inside my car.
Anyway He left my purse inside the car and all my Bank cards, id cards etc...
It wouldn't happen if people took more care and didnt leave valuables / cash in the car
On 26 March 2014, Someone looted 6450 QAR from my car. I made a complaint on the same day and police came and took the fingerprints.

Till now I didn't receive any update on this. I am still waiting for a reply from the police.
This issue is becoming common in Qatar. Qatar police should take effective measures to prevent crimes like this.
Keep up the good work, Qatar CID!
