Qatar Airways has grand plans to purchase hotel properties around the world within the next five years.
Akbar Al Baker, who heads Qatar’s national carrier, said they were planning to buy around 50 hotels by 2022.
“It’s our plan to have at least 50 hotels in our portfolio. We’ve completed 10% of that and hopefully in the next five years, we’ll complete 50 hotels around our network which we intend to buy,” he said during a Press conference in Chiang Mai, Thailand, according to The Peninsula.
