Qatar residents report feeling tremors after major earthquake in Afghanistan
Several residents in Qatar took to social media to report what they felt like tremors on Monday afternoon.
The tremors could have been an aftermath of the major earthquake that shook Northern Afghanistan earlier today. However, Qatar Meteorology Department asked residents not to panic and assured that it will not impact Qatar directly.
There is no need to panic as the Afghanistan earthquake is 2209 km away and there is no direct impact on #Qatar .

The BBC reported that the quake had a magnitude of 7.5 and was centred in a mountainous region 45km in south-west Pakistan.
Pakistan's local news channels showed people evacuating high-rise office buildings. Initial reports say at least 13 people have been killed in Pakistan.
There are also reports of a stampede triggered by the quake at a girls' school in the Afghan province of Takhar, which left 12 students dead, reports BBC.
