Qatar had recently announced its new push to nationalise top jobs in the public sector.

Now, the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs has reiterated that it was working with government and private entities to nationalise jobs and create job opportunities for citizens.

HE the Minister of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs Dr Issa Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi said that the statutes of the law will be issued before the end of the year. He noted that new human resources law will specify measures to empower Qataris and specify their rights and obligations.

He was speaking on the sidelines of the annual career day event organised by Qatar National Bank.

QNB Group CEO Ali Ahmed Al Kuwari said the bank gives great importance to supporting the Qatarisation process.

“We’re proud of having achieved the highest Qatarisation ratio in the Qatari banking sector, which now stands at 53%. We aim to enhance this figure by hiring even more Qataris in the bank's various departments,” Gulf Times quoted him as saying.
