QL awarded Best Consumer Solution at QITCOM 2014
Qatar Living was awarded the Best Consumer Solution at QITCOM 2014, the conference organizers announced at the award gala at Grand Hyatt on May 28th.
The conference is the third edition of its kind, aiming to encourage aspiration and growth potential of Qatar’s ICT sector.
The awards ceremony concluded the three-day event that gathered innovators, entrepreneurs and enthusiasts by awarding six leading initiatives in Qatar’s ICT industry.
“We are proud to get this award, and we would like to thank QITCOM for recognizing our work,” said Bilal Randeree, Managing Director of Qatar Living.
An active online community of people living in, interested in and/or doing business in Qatar, the site plays a crucial role in lives of thousands of expatriates in the country.
Everyday, the site attracts almost a million views with over 880 thousand unique visitors per month.
“Qatar Living has grown into the biggest and most well respected online brand in Qatar,” said Randeree.
“In fact, we are the only local site on the top 10 list of popular websites in Qatar” he added.
Behind the scene, Qatar Living is a small group of energetic young media specialists that keep looking for better ways to serve the audience and more collaboration with businesses that benefit the Qatar community.
Others awarded at the gala include Marhaba, Vodafone Qatar, ictQatar, Meeza and Qatar National Library.
