Sheikh Ali bin Khalid Al Thani wins silver in Asian Games’ Jumping Event
Experienced Qatari show jumper Sheikh Ali bin Khalid Al Thani won a silver medal in the individual jumping event at the 2018 Asian Games currently underway in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The Qatari show jumper, who is a regular fixture in the international show jumping circuit, astride Sirocco, scored 2.02 points to finish second behind Kuwait’s Ali Al Khoraifi (1.06). Saudi Arabia’s Ramzy Hamad Alduhami (5.00) was third.

This was Sheikh Ali’s third Asian Games medal, after jumping to gold in 2010 and a bronze medal in the team event a few days back.
This is only Qatar’s second individual show jumping medal in history, after Ali Al Rumaihi won gold at the 2006 Doha Asian Games.
