Souq Al Wakrah’s beach to throw open its doors on Thursday
People in Qatar have reasons to rejoice as the Souq Al Wakrah beach will be thrown open to visitors on Thursday.
The management of Souq Al Wakrah, which is overseen by the Private Engineering Office, is set to open the beach for public as a means of entertainment for residents of Qatar’s southern region during summer, reported The Peninsula.
“The beach will open on Thursday on a trial basis to ensure the readiness of services and inspection of others that might be needed. The preparation of the beach took some time in order to make it ready for swimming. Now, it’s one of the most beautiful beaches in the southern region,” said Souq Al Wakrah Manager Khalid Saif Al Suwaidi.
There are a number of restaurants overseeing the beach area and will serve beachgoers. Access to the beach will be free for all, taking into consideration the norms and traditions of the society.
Swimsuits are required to access the beach and changing rooms are available for both sexes.
