Strong winds and rain expected today

Parts of Qatar received some rain on Sunday and more thundershowers and strong winds are expected on Today, the Met office has said.

Slightly dusty conditions are also likely in offshore areas and visibility may drop to 2 km or less in some places, according to the forecast.

Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are expected in the country, along with a chance of rain – and thunder – in some places by the afternoon, the weather office has said.

Offshore areas are likely to be partly cloudy and there are chances of scattered rain and slightly dusty conditions as well.

The wind speed is likely to go up to 25 knot in some places during the thundershowers.

In offshore areas, it will reach 20 knot towards the north.

The minimum and maximum temperatures in the country are expected to be 24°C and 32°C, respectively, with the forecast for Doha being 27°C and 31°C. [Gulf Times]
