There are chances of scattered rain in Qatar until Monday, says Met Department
After severe rains last week which saw flash floods in the country, things had been a bit calm on the weather front.
But things may suddenly change, according to Qatar’s Met Department. The officials have said that there is a chance for scattered rain in the country, which may be thundery at times with strong winds, from today afternoon until Monday, reported Gulf Times.

This will be a continuation of the light and scattered rain that has been hitting Doha and its outskirts since last week.
“The intensity of rain will increase on Sunday. Different areas of the country will witness light to moderate rain next week until Friday,” QMD Director Abdulla Mohamed Al Mannai was quoted as saying by Qatar Tribune.
“The Qatar Meteorological Department (QMD) urges all to take extra care during thunderstorms due to the associated risk of strong wind, rain and poor visibility,” the Civil Aviation Authority said in a tweet on Friday.

On Sunday, the conditions are likely to be similar, although wind speeds could reach up to 40 knots.
“We’re in a transitional period that requires following latest updates through our interactive pages,” the Met Office said.
