Two men given jail sentence, deportation for illegal visa trade
Two expatriate men have been sentenced to three months in jail and subsequent deportation for violating the residency laws and regulations.
Local Arabic daily Arrayah reported on Monday that the Court of Misdemeanour convicted them of buying two work visas and obtaining residency in the country based on fraudulent work contracts.
The duo was also convicted of working for themselves, after quitting the work at their original recruiter.
At the prosecution interrogations, they admitted that they bought the visas from the original recruiter based on false work contracts, with the intention of adopting freelance jobs in the country and conducting their own private business transactions.
Accordingly, the court convicted them for illegal visa trade.

How many freelance people do you know, who have bought their visa, and pay for it annually? I think it's safe to say this story is going to scare a lot of people.
"they bought the visas from the original recruiter", and this criminal is still continuing his business. What a funny state Qatar is.
