Unstable weather conditions expected from today till Tuesday
The Meteorology Department has forecasted a foggy morning today with chances of light rains in the northern parts of the country later.
The foggy weather is expected to continue tomorrow, followed by unstable weather conditions on Saturday.
Southeasterly winds on Saturday could cause a rise in humidity, leading to scattered rains until Sunday due to an extension of ‘Sudan thermal low’ in the Gulf coinciding with a cold air mass in the upper levels, the department said in a statement.
From Saturday evening, fresh to strong northwesterly winds could hit all areas of the country, with speeds between 15 and 5 knots reaching 35 at times.
This would continue until Tuesday. During this period, temperature could drop by three to four degrees Celsius, reaching a minimum 12-15. Open areas in southern regions are expected to be colder. [The Peninsula]
