Upgraded government services complex at Mesaimeer begins functioning
Minister of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs HE Dr Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi opened the new premises of the government services complex in Mesaimeer, reported The Peninsula.
The Minister said the upgrade of the complex, in terms of increasing its area, would provide more comfort to users and facilitate faster completion of procedures.
The Minister toured the departments and evaluated the services provided there by seven ministries and government entities — the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs; the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and the Ministry of Municipality and Environment. Kahraama also operates an office there.
The building comprises nearly 30 counters, some of them dedicated to serving women, the elderly and people with disabilities. Work will be done in two shifts — from 7.30am to 1pm and 3pm to 7pm.
Qatar is working to provide services in all its regions as near to citizens and residents as possible and at the same location to help them save time and reduce congestion.
There are eight government service complexes now, carrying out between 4,500 and 5,000 procedures a daily.
