Qatar sets Guinness World Record for most nationalities planting tree at the same time
The Supervisory Committee for the Beautification of Roads and Public Places in Qatar has set a new Guinness Global Record for the ‘Most Nationalities Planting Trees at the Same Time’, adding to Qatar's long collection of world records.
Alan Pixsley and Louise Toms, official adjudicators for Guinness World Records, reported that the overall number of nationalities who participated in the tree-planting ceremony organized by the committee on Saturday, October 9, on Dukhan Road was 66.
The event is part of the "Qatar Beautification and Our Kids Planting Trees" initiative, which was established in 2019 in collaboration with the Ministry of Municipality with the goal of planting a million trees.
Participants from each nationality planted one tree for five minutes straight, following precise processes that were videotaped by cameras set up on site to analyze the planting process and ensure compliance with Guinness World Records rules.
